Artist Spotlight: Danielle Peck

Danielle Peck has been on the country music scene for quite some time. She was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina and raised in Coshocten, Ohio. Having music in her life since birth, she wrote her first song before age 10, and also performed in church and choirs. She formed her own local band at age 16. After graduation, she moved to Nashville, where she met Scott Borchetta, the future founder and CEO of Big Machine Records. Peck soon after signed a record deal. Peck's self-titled album was released on the label, as well as her first few singles. Although Peck has since parted ways with Big Machine Records, her music still proves to be rich with meaningful lyrics and powerful vocals.

Jesse from Country Music Treehouse got the chance to talk to Danielle Peck outside of The Country Network's bus at the 4th of July celebration in downtown Nashville. Check out the interview below!

Country Music Treehouse: This is Jesse from CountryMusicTreehouse.com and I am joined with Danielle Peck. How are you doing?

Danielle Peck: Hi there Jesse. I'm good. How are you?

CMTH: I'm good. So I just wanted to ask you a few questions. What do you like best about performing?

Peck: Connecting with the crowd. Getting them all riled up and having a good time.

CMTH: Out of your career so far, what is the coolest thing you've done. Such as the coolest place, or biggest crowd you've played for.

Peck: Well the cool thing you get to do is travel in a different city everyday, even around the world. Last year we got to go to Japan, next month we're going to France and Italy. We're taking country music all around the world! I think that's the neatest thing I get to do, is go to every big city, every small town, and see everyone out there.

CMTH: I see you have a cd for sale here, what is on this cd?

Peck: Well this is actually my first cd that we had out. It has my singles "I Don't", "Findin' A Good Man", and "Isn't That Everything" on it. I don't have my second one here, and I'm working on my third. So this is my first behind me. We're just down here enjoying the Fourth of July festivities, signing autographs for all the people down here on the street, and having a good time.

CMTH: Thank you so much! We can find more information about you at www.daniellepeck.com.
