Artist Spotlight: Burns and Poe

Keith Burns and Michelle Poe make up the duo Burns and Poe. This up-and-coming duo, dubbed by some as the Sonny and Cher of country music, have proved to be a pair that knows how to perform unlike any other act in the business. Their unique and various music styles give an experience never before heard, or seen.

Keith Burns was a former founding member of the Grammy nominated trio, Trick Pony. The trio had hits such as Pour Me and It's a Heartache. Burns has also written songs recorded by big names in the industry such as Hootie and the Blowfish, Sammy Kershaw, and Joe Diffie.

Michelle Poe signed as a Dreamworks solo artist in 2003. She also toured in backup bands for Dierks Bentley and Hank Williams, Jr. Poe then auditioned for Trick Pony, after lead singer Heidi Newfield's departure.

Upon landing the gig, Trick Pony's third founding member departed leaving Keith and Michelle together. They formed their own duo and took their music in another direction. Thus, creating Burns and Poe.

Jesse recently sat down with Burns and Poe to discuss their career and what's next for them. Watch the interview in HD below:
