Country Music Treehouse: Hey Stormy! Thanks for taking the time to talk to us!

Stormy Montana: Sure thing! Glad I get to talk to you.

CMTH: I have a few questions for you. You ready?

SM: Ask away!

CMTH: Have you always wanted to be a singer?

SM: For as long as I can remember, yes. I've always loved to sing.

CMTH: Who are your inspirations?

SM: Oh man. There are so many. I love Bekka Bramlett's music, Bob Seger, Hank Jr., Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, Terri Clark, Wynonna Judd, any outlaw country, I love it all.

CMTH: Very cool. What do you like best about performing?

SM: Well, lots of things. If I'm not having a good day, it's a great way to vent. It's a great way to interact with the fans. It's a rush.

CMTH: Do you have a favorite song to perform? One that just really makes you feel great?

SM: That one is tough. I love “Times Like This” off of my cd. It's a great pick-me-up song. “Someone Like Me” is a great blues tune. “Outlaw Women” (Hank Jr.) is a fun one to sing. I usually don't sing songs that I don't absolutely love doing.

CMTH: That's awesome! Do you write your own music?

SM: Ah, I write some. But all of the stuff on the CD, that's from friends of mine that are amazing writers.

CMTH: So I watched your music video for "Weary Angel", from watching it and reading about it on your website, it looks like you got to work with some amazing people! What was that like?

SM: It was so much fun, and SUPER cold. It was about 20 degrees that night. But, Cousin Tuny was amazing in that video. She fit the role perfectly. Kris Bergsnes (the first hobo) actually wrote the song. We were all shocked at how much into playing the role he got! He was great. And John Goodwin was great to work with too. He's an amazing writer and artist. I just feel super lucky to even know these guys, much less get to work with them.

CMTH: Sounds like an amazing experience!!! What do you enjoy about making music videos?

SM: Definately not how warm it was. hahaa! But, Marcel Chagnon and Scott McMahan were great to work with, and they made it so much fun. I just love being able to put my interpretation of a song out there like that, and show a side of myself too. And I have to give David Atnipp major kudos for helping me with the driving in the first video. Brave, brave soul. haaa

CMTH: haha. I think you finally got the hang of it

SM: I'm sure glad you think so!

CMTH: One last question, what are your short-term goals for your career?

SM: I would hope that I could use whatever success I get to help other people as much as I can.

CMTH: Thanks Stormy for taking some time to talk to us. We wish you the best and we hope to talk to you again very soon!
